The Lyceum-Northwestern University Dukes Basketball Team attended the opening ceremony of the National Basketball League Pangasinan yesterday, August 9, 2025, at ABE Stadium, Rosales, Pangasinan.
The program commenced with the parade of players. Followed by prayer, and singing of the National Anthem and Pangasinan Hymn. The event was graced by the presence of the NBL President, Rhose Montreal, the Vice President and Technical Head, Edward Aquino, the NBL Region 1 Tournament Director, Christian Calaguio, the Deputy Director, Sonny de Jesus, the Western Conference Tournament Manager, Arnold Alcantara, the Eastern Conference Tournament Manager, Jay Obligacion, the guest and PBA Legend, Danny Ildefonso. While Rosales Mayor William Cezar and Calasiao Mayor Patrick Caramat were not in attendance, representatives were there on their behalf.
βHindi hadlang ang kahirapan ng buhay, gawin niyo βyang inspirasyon,β said the PBA Legend Danny Ildefonso as he share his inspiring journey. Messages from the NBL Officials were shared as well. The program concluded with the Oath of Sportsmanship and the tournament’s official opening served as the event’s closing highlight.
