In support of the employment agenda of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino to strengthen job facilitation services to jobseekers, the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office I (DOLE RO1), represented by Central Pangasinan Field Office OIC Rhodora Dingle, and Lyceum-Northwestern University (LNU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on July 9, 2026, for the establishment of a Job Placement Office (JPO) at the universityโs Student Affairs Office in Tapuac, Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
The newly established JPO will serve as a bridge between the academe and the labor market, providing students, graduates, and job seekers with easier access to employment opportunities, career guidance, labor market information, and job matching services.
DOLE RO1 Regional Director Honorina Dian-Baga said, โThrough stronger partnerships with academic institutions, we make employment services more accessible, and help graduates transition from education to productive and gainful employmentโ.
The establishment of the JPO highlights the shared commitment of DOLE and LNU to promote inclusive employment opportunities and empower the next generation of workers.
