Leading the region’s topnotchers was Dianne T. Tolentino of the University of Northern Philippines, who ranked No. 1 nationwide with a rating of 92.20%. She was followed among the R1 examinees by Lee Chen P. Ducusin, Rank 3 with 91.80%, and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗖. 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮 from 𝗟𝘆𝗰𝗲𝘂𝗺-𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟵𝟭.𝟰𝟬%.

Other R1 examinees who made it to the Top 10 were Gabriel Alfonso C. Alcid, Rank 6 with 91.20%; Bev Lyn C. Bautista and Josian Vince B. Bermio, both Rank 9 with 90.60%; and Jan Marie A. Evangelista, Kim Andrei A. Nicomendez, and Ivan Carlo N. Oller, who placed among the Top 10 with ratings of 90.40%.

The achievement comes alongside the strong institutional performance of MMSU, which ranked No. 8 among the country’s top-performing schools with 100 or more examinees, posting a 98.51% passing rate.

The results underscore the strong performance of Region I’s nursing programs and graduates in a licensure examination that produced 28,652 successful examinees out of 37,359, or a national passing rate of 76.69%, according to the Professional Regulation Commission.

For CHED Regional Office I, the accomplishments highlight the continuing contribution of R1 higher education institutions in preparing nursing graduates for professional practice and service to their communities.
