Ash Wednesday Mass | University Chapel

Today, the Lyceum-Northwestern University community gathered at the University Chapel for the solemn observance of Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Lenten season.

The imposition of ashes serves as a powerful symbol of humility, repentance, and renewal—reminding us of our human fragility and our call to spiritual reflection and transformation. As ashes are placed on our foreheads, we are invited to realign our lives with faith, compassion, and purposeful action.
