With profound sorrow and heartfelt respect, the Lyceum-Northwestern University community joins the nation in mourning the passing of Hon. Jose De Venecia Jr., a distinguished statesman, visionary leader, and proud son of Dagupan whose legacy of public service has left an enduring mark on Philippine history.

Today, at the Dagupan City Plaza, Atty. Gonzalo T. Duque, L-NU Chancellor, delivered a heartfelt eulogy during the tribute ceremony themed “Inaro Mi Ca, Cuya Joe” honoring the life and legacy of the five-time Speaker whose leadership, patriotism, and unwavering dedication to the Filipino people will forever be remembered.

May his remarkable life continue to inspire generations of leaders to serve with integrity, humility, and love for country.
