Fueled by a clutch performance in the final minutes, the Lyceum-Northwestern University (L-NU) Dukes shot their way to a bronze medal finish in the Universities and Colleges Athletic Association of Pangasinan (UCAAP) Rebirth 2025. Facing the Universidad de Dagupan (UDD) Basketball Team for the battle for bronze held on November 19, 2025, at the Dagupan City Peopleโ€™s Astrodome, the L-NU Dukes wrapped the game with a 93-80 finish.

L-NU Dukes Coach Jayson Vinluan shared that due to uncertain circumstances, the team had a limited time to prepare for their last game. As a result, they relied heavily on their defense to offense and offense to defense transition. “A younger, hungrier, and balanced team for the next season,” said Coach Vinluan when asked what to look forward to from the team next season. He also added that most of the players are already playing their final year of eligibility.

Through his hard work, self-control, and sacrifices, Jersey #14 Victor Angelo delos Reyes of L-NU Dukes earned a spot in the tournamentโ€™s Mythical Five selection. The recognition motivated him to continue on improving his abilities and consistency. The game began with the UDD Basketball Team taking the lead until the third quarter, but the L-NU Dukes stormed back in the final quarter, cutting into their opponentโ€™s advantage. Delos Reyes highlighted that their teamwork and resiliency despite encountering fierce rivals and difficult situations stood out as their greatest achievement.

โ€œYou can expect a stronger, more determined, and more polished team next season. This experience has taught us a lot, and weโ€™re using that knowledge to further our development. Weโ€™ll keep improving our chemistry and tactics, and push our limits,โ€ Delos Reyes expressed. By closing the season with a strong performance, the team earned a podium spot and proved the strength and unity that carried them through the season.

Congratulations, L-NU Dukes!
