L-NU Shines:
Highlighting Academic Excellence at RISE 2024: ICREATE

Throughout the two-day event, a total of seven research papers from L-NU were presented, showcasing academic excellence across various disciplines. These research contributions came from the College of Engineering, Nursing, Dentistry, and IGPS- Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN). Notably, three papers received recognition, with Mr. Michael Rhey R. Orines from Institute of Graduate and Professional Studies- Master of Arts in Nursing being awarded Best Presenter for his work on “Anti-Microbial Stewardship Practices of Hospital Nurses in Dagupan City.” Additionally, two papers were honored as Best Papers: “When Faith and Health Collide: The Correlation Between the Level of Faith and Medical Intervention Refusals” from the College of Nursing, and “Acceptability of Digital Dental Application Among Clinical Dental Students” from the College of Dentistry

Among these presentations were: “Enhancing Financial Management Through Android Smart Saving Application PisoPatrol: A Study on the Efficacy of Automated Expenditure Control and Goal-Based Saving Among Students,” presented by Engr. Febrey Lamsen from the College of Engineering; “One Pill Saved, One Bug Made: Knowledge, Attitudes, And Practices on Antimicrobial Use (AMU) Among Low Income Households in Barangay Libsong East, Lingayen, Pangasinan,” presented by Joy Ann L. Arcelona & Julianne Nicole M. Sabangan from the College of Nursing; “Healing Touch: The Efficacy of Holding Hands as A Non-Prescription Pain Management Technique on Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease,” presented by Rhaine B. Ugaban & Ryan F. Earl Fernandez from the College of Nursing; and “Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Formulating Nursing Care Plan Among Nursing Students,” presented by Mykhaela Dane G. Macaraeg & Eizzle Gyanne B. Macutay from the College of Nursing.
