𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 | L-NU’s 55th Mid-Year Graduation
The Lyceum–Northwestern University (L-NU) successfully held its 55th Mid-Year Graduation Ceremony at the Dr. Salvador T. Duque Fieldhouse today, January 17, 2026. The event formally opened with the procession of graduates, joined by University Administrators, Deans, and Faculty members, celebrating the fruits of perseverance, discipline, and academic excellence.
The ceremony was anchored on the theme “Educated for Tomorrow, Grounded in Values: Graduating Leaders for an AI-Driven World.” Serving as Guest of Honor and Speaker, Dr. Jimmy G. Catanes, CESE, Director IV of the Office of Programs and Standards Development, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office, delivered a thought-provoking message, emphasizing that, “The AI driven world is not a future topic, it is a present condition. AI will not replace you but a person who knows how to use AI well, and ethically, might.” He further highlighted that as tools become more powerful, values become decisive, reminding graduates that being grounded in values in the AI age means carrying a moral compass with a map that is constantly changing.
The ceremony once again affirmed L-NU’s commitment to producing competent, ethical, and future-ready leaders. Congratulations to the graduates of the 55th Mid-Year Graduation Ceremony!
