L-NU WELCOMES A NEW GENERATION OF STUDENT LEADERS

More than 773 student leaders unite as 49 L-NU student organizations are officially recognized and enlisted

Lyceum-Northwestern University (L-NU) held its Mass Oath-Taking Ceremony and University President’s Hour today, September 30, 2026, at the Dr. Salvador T. Duque Fieldhouse, bringing together more than 773 student leaders and members from across the University.

A total of 49 L-NU student organizations were formally recognized and enlisted as official student organizations, with their representatives receiving certificates in recognition of their role in promoting student leadership, engagement, and service.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of the L-NU Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Objectives, the oath-taking of student leaders, and messages from the University Administration and student leaders.

Leading the University Administration were University President Dr. Luz T. Duque-Hammershaimb, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Francisco T. Duque III, and Executive Vice President Dr. Marco Francisco Duque, together with Dr. Eugene M. Reyes, Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations; Dr. Rodney Odesson P. Raguindin, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Cynthia P. Lopez, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Extension, and Management; and Dr. Veronica F. Aquino, Vice President for External Affairs and International Linkages.

The gathering culminated in the University President’s Hour, providing student leaders an opportunity to hear directly from the University President and the L-NU Administration on leadership, student engagement, and the shared responsibility of building a stronger Lycean community.
With its student leaders taking their oath and its organizations formally recognized, L-NU continues to empower students to lead with purpose, serve with integrity, and live out the values of the Lycean community.
