L-NU Receives “Best Innovative School Award” at the 41st World School Summit in Malaysia
The achievement reflected L-NU’s sustained efforts to advance internationalization through strategic academic partnerships, cross-cultural learning opportunities, and innovative educational initiatives. Through the leadership of the Office of External Affairs and International Relations (EAIR), the University continued to expand its global engagement and create meaningful opportunities for students and faculty to participate in international academic collaborations.
A key component of these initiatives is Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), which connects L-NU students and faculty with international counterparts through virtual, collaborative learning experiences. These efforts are strengthened by partnerships with distinguished institutions, including the State University of New York (SUNY), Université Gustave Eiffel in France, LaGuardia Community College and St. John’s University in New York, Osaka Metropolitan University and Kansai University in Japan, and the University of Regina in Canada.
Through these international collaborations, L-NU promotes intercultural understanding, global perspectives, knowledge exchange, and collaborative learning across borders. These initiatives help equip students and faculty with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
The World School Summit brought together education leaders, school administrators, policymakers, educators, and innovators representing more than 25 nationalities to celebrate educational achievements, exchange transformative ideas, and foster international collaboration. L-NU was represented at the international gathering by Dr. Veronica F. Aquino, Vice President for External Affairs and International Relations, who received the award on behalf of the University.
This recognition marks a significant milestone in L-NU’s continuing efforts to strengthen its presence in the global education community. It also reinforces the University’s commitment to advancing innovative teaching and learning practices, nurturing strategic international partnerships, and expanding educational opportunities beyond geographical boundaries.
Congratulations to the entire L-NU community on this remarkable international achievement! Under the transformative and strategic leadership of Dr. Luz T. Duque-Hammershaimb, University President, and through the collective efforts of the University’s academic leaders, faculty, staff, and students, L-NU continues to pursue its mission of providing quality education while embracing innovation and global engagement.
This achievement inspires the University to build on its progress, strengthen its international partnerships, and continue advancing educational excellence on the global stage.
