LYCEAN NEWS | L-NU MASS BLOOD DONATION DRIVE GATHERS HUNDREDS OF BAGS OF BLOOD DONATIONS

“Dugoyanihan: Blood Donors, Modern Heroes” highlights the Lycean community’s shared commitment to saving lives.

Lyceum-Northwestern University (L-NU) successfully gathered hundreds of bags of blood donations during its Mass Blood Donation Drive held yesterday at the Dr. Salvador T. Duque Fieldhouse, bringing together students, staff, faculty members, and the Lycean community for a life-saving cause.

Anchored on the theme “Dugoyanihan: Blood Donors, Modern Heroes,” the activity was organized by the L-NU College Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC), in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross Pangasinan Chapter – Dagupan City Branch, L-NU College of Medical Laboratory Science, L-NU College of Medicine, L-NU Allied Health Courses, and the Rotaract Club of Dagupan.

The initiative embodies the spirit of bayanihan and volunteerism, demonstrating how collective action can help support patients in need of blood transfusions and contribute to saving lives.

The activity also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by promoting community participation in life-saving healthcare initiatives, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through collaboration among the university, healthcare organizations, and community partners.

L-NU extends its heartfelt appreciation to all blood donors, organizers, partner organizations, and volunteers whose generosity and dedication helped make this meaningful initiative possible. Every donation offers hope and the opportunity to save lives.
