The College of Information and Computing Studies of Lyceum-Northwestern University was established on June 2009. The office of the college is located at the 1st floor of Florencia Building and (4) computer laboratories are also situated at the same location. Two (2) more computer laboratories are positioned at the 2nd floor of the same building.

The College of Information and Computing Studies is offering two (2) programs namely: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT).

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

The Computer Science program is the study of computing concepts and theories, algorithmic foundations and new developments in computing. It includes the study of the standards and practices in Software Engineering.
The program prepares students to design and create algorithmically complex software and develop new and effective algorithms for solving computing problems. The program also prepares students to acquire skills and disciplines required for designing, writing and modifying software components, modules and applications that comprise software solutions.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

Information Technology is the study of the utilization of both hardware and software technologies involving planning, installing, customizing, operating, managing and administering, and maintaining information technology infrastructure that provides computing solutions to address the needs of an organization.
Information Technology is also concerned with addressing various needs involving the selection, development, application, integration, and management of computing technologies within an organization.

VISION

The College of Information Technology and Computing Studies of Lyceum-Northwestern University envisions the institution to provide globally-competitive graduates who are empowered by information and its supporting technologies with technical skills to develop world-class information systems that will meet the needs of an organization.


MISSION

The College of Information and Computing Studies of Lyceum-Northwestern University prepares the students to be IT professionals and researchers, able to adapt changes in technology and generate students who recognize the impact and potential of technology in the society of the future.


GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

1, To provide the students with IT-related programs suitable for their interest and relevant to the changing world of technology.
2. To provide up-to-date facilities for evaluation and assessment of student proficiency in the field of application, installation, operation, development, maintenance and administration, and designing of computing solutions.
3. To establish and sustain a motivating atmosphere for the student and an appropriate interaction between students and instructors, as well as the community for better awareness of social responsibility and self-growth.
4. To offer satisfactory services in the fields of information technology and research to the people of Dagupan City and its neighboring towns through competent faculty members, skilled on-the-job trainees and accurate research endeavors.
