L-NU BOARD TRUSTEE DONATES LAND FOR THE CHILDREN OF DAGUPAN
Lyceum-Northwestern University (L-NU) recognizes the generosity of its Board Trustee, Mr. Cesar T. Duque, who donated a 2,300-square-meter property in Barangay Tebeng, Dagupan City, to support the development of a learning facility for the children of Dagupan.
The donation was formally extended to the City Government of Dagupan through City Mayor Hon. Belen T. Fernandez, providing an opportunity to create a safe, modern, and child-friendly learning environment for generations of Dagupeno children.
What makes the gesture even more meaningful is Mr. Duque’s personal wish for the future school to be named after his beloved mother, Florencia Duque—a lasting tribute to a mother whose love and influence helped shape his life.
For L-NU, this act of generosity reflects a fundamental belief that education is a shared responsibility and that the University’s commitment to service extends beyond its campuses and the Lycean community to the entire City of Dagupan.
This initiative embodies the University’s EPICS values — Excellence, Professionalism, Integrity, Creativity, and Spirituality — particularly through a commitment to excellence in education, integrity in service, and a spirit of compassion and responsibility toward the community.
The planned development is envisioned to include additional classrooms, a library, a school clinic, and an MBTF gymnasium, creating a space where children can learn, discover their talents, and pursue their dreams.
Through the generosity of Mr. Cesar T. Duque, the vision of a better future for Dagupeño children takes another meaningful step forward.
A mother’s name. A son’s love. A gift to generations.
For L-NU, this is more than a donation of land—it is an expression of education, service, and compassion in action, and a reminder that the greatest legacy is one that creates opportunities for others.
L-NU — Excellence in Education. Service Beyond the Campus.
