LYCEAN NEWS | L-NU COLLEGE OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT WINS TWO SILVER AWARDS AT DAYEW 2026

Lycean talents shine in Pangasinan’s tourism skills exposition, showcasing culinary creativity, technical skills, and excellence in hospitality.

The Lyceum-Northwestern University (L-NU) College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) proudly celebrates its students’ achievement of two Silver Awards at Dayew 2026: The Pangasinan Province Tourism Skills Exposition, held on October 14–15, 2026, at the Sison Auditorium in Lingayen, Pangasinan.

The L-NU student representatives demonstrated their skills, creativity, and dedication in two competitive events, earning a Silver Award in the Pangasinan Cuisine Cooking Challenge (Live) through the efforts of Mr. Luigi Nipales and Ms. Erika Reyes, and another Silver Award in Fruit and Vegetable Carving (Live), represented by Ms. Queen Samson and Mr. Mark Jared Tadeo.

The achievement reflects the collective support and teamwork of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management Student Council, the Junior Tourism and Hospitality Management Association of the Philippines (JTHMAP), and the CTHM faculty. The delegation was guided by Dr. Marc Aaron M. Lopez, Dean of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, with Mr. Christian Kyle D. Cerezo serving as Overall Chair and Coach. The coaching team also included Ms. Virginia Annabelle D. Tomelden, Ms. RJ Xander G. Candinato, Ms. Ma. Krisma F. De Guzman, Ms. Ashley Ann B. Camaso, Ms. Gelly Marie Gamboa, and Ms. Ella Mae Lobrin. Their dedication, mentorship, and collaborative efforts helped prepare the students to showcase their talents and skills at Dayew 2026.

L-NU extends its sincere appreciation to the dean, coaches, faculty members, and student organizations for their guidance and support in helping the students excel in the competition.
