The Professional Regulatory Board of Dentistry (PRBoD), in coordination with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Region 1, carried out an ocular inspection and monitoring visit at Lyceum Northwestern University (L-NU) in Dagupan City on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. The inspection aims to ensure that the university’s College of Dentistry meets the required standards for dental education and training.
The on-site inspection was spearheaded by PRBoD Chairperson Hon. Merlin Go, accompanied by Member Hon. Carlito Paragas, who was physically present during the visit. Additional PRBoD Members Hon. Melinda Garcia, Hon. Gloria Bumanlag, and Hon. Ellis James Ranada participated virtually, demonstrating the Board’s commitment to adapting to modern technologies while maintaining oversight responsibilities.
Mr. King John O. Milo assisted the Board during the inspection, facilitating a smooth and productive assessment of L-NU’s facilities, curriculum, and compliance with PRC and PRBoD regulations.
This inspection is part of the Board’s ongoing efforts to uphold the quality of dental education in the Philippines, ensuring that future dental professionals are trained in institutions that meet national standards of excellence.
